Depending on how hungry your crowd is, this will serve 2-4 people. This recipe can easily be doubled. If you don’t want to go as spicy, go ahead and use your favorite sausage.
Ingredients
  • 3 Firehouse Habanero Sausage links, cut and peel casings off
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can Fire Roasted Tomatoes with Garlic
  • 2 cups of uncooked Veggie Bow Tie Pasta
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
Instructions
  1. Heat a large skillet on medium heat.
  2. Take the casings off 3 large sausage links and cut into large pieces.
  3. Flatten the pieces a little (to get them to cook fast all the way through).
  4. Add the olive oil and sausage pieces to the heated skillet.
  5. Cook on each side until golden.
  6. Add the Fire Roasted Tomatoes with Garlic on top of the sausage pieces.
  7. Do not stir and cover with lid.
  8. Turn heat down to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  9. Boil water in a large pot.
  10. Add Veggie Bow Tie pasta to the water.
  11. Cook pasta 2 minutes less than instructed on the package.
  12. When pasta is tender, drain.
  13. Add pasta to the tomato and sausage mixture and stir.
  14. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.
  15. Melt the cheese by putting under the broiler until golden brown-- only if you have a pan with a handle that won't melt!
  16. Or, put lid back on and turn burner off.
  17. Allow to melt the cheese while the skillet is still on the heated burner.
  18. Enjoy!
