A Month In Pictures: March

March is my favorite month.  

It’s my birthday and springtime.  Lots of candles to blow out and time for winter to leave.

Capturing moments throughout the month and sharing some of them with you.  It’s just a peak of the real life behind the times when I’m not in the kitchen creating recipes… (like, my favorite this month was the Blueberry Frozen Custard Pops).  I may have eaten more than my share.  

In February, I shared a list of words to be creative with when snapping pictures for March.  Sometimes, one word is all you need to describe a picture.

Cake

Every year on my birthday, I get one of the best gifts of all… a baked (and decorated) birthday cake from my boys.  Lots of love went into this homemade chocolate cake!  

And yes, it was a fiery inferno when the candles were all lit!

Smile

The family I created makes me smile.

Getting the boys to smile and pose for a photo is usually an experience in itself.  Levi’s pose always cracks me up (far right)… he purposely poses as if we were doing photographs in the era of the no-smile-and-don’t-look-at-the-camera time.

Playing out in an open field of grass and throwing the football at sunset is the best!

Taking a Sunday stroll on one of the major islands of the Great Salt Lake, Antelope Island.  

Remember, the bison may be dangerous… when they’re not chomping on sage brush and may go to eat little 8 year olds in the back seat that constantly complain about how (adventurous) Sunday drives are soooo boring.

As long as my children live under my roof, they will always be checking in with me.

Sentry snuggles up to these old work boots every single day… without even a little puppy nibble on the boots.
