Salted crunchy Bugles enticed with red velvet sweetness.
You know once you take a bite of something delicious and as much as you want to stop, you keep going back for more?
The bliss combination of crunchy, salty and sweet keeps calling out your name.
I’m always there. Trust me.
Maybe that’s why I love sharing with you sweet and salty with maraschino cherries, sprinkles, and brownies!
Red Velvet Bugles are coated with melted white chocolate and dusted with powdered sugar and red velvet cake.
Oh, the love I have for those crunchy little triangles– and red velvet.
You’re going to LOVE how simple and fast these are to put together!
Chop the white chocolate and be ready to melt away.
I could be done at this point just to devour this bowl of melted white chocolate…
But I’m back!
Swirl in red coloring for fun!
Have your sweet sugar dust ready. And, by dust I mean, powder sugar and dry red velvet cake mix.
{I know nothing else about any other type of dusting… just sugar dust.}
Combine all of the ingredients into a large closed bag and gently toss until every single crunchy bite is covered.
- 6 cups Bugles (1 package, 7.5-Ounce)
- 10 ounces white chocolate, melted
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil (I used Canola oil)
- 3-4 drops gel red food coloring
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup dry red velvet cake mix
- Melt white chocolate pieces over a double boil or in the microwave. Add cooking oil to the melted chocolate. (This makes the chocolate more smooth and easier to work with.) Stir in drops of gel food coloring until combined.
- Put the Bugles in a large plastic resealable bag. Pour in the melted red chocolate, powdered sugar and dry red velvet cake mix. Gently toss until all coated. Open the bag to separate any Bugles that became best friends with another.
- Enjoy!
- Store in an open bag or bowl at room temperature for up to 2 days. (Putting in an air tight container will make them loose their crunch.)
These Red Velvet Bugles are the complete party munchies delight. I mean, just sitting-by-yourself-on-the-couch kind of munchies delight.
One bite and I promise you’ll be going back to grab even more of these crunchy party munchies!
